Swing a Big Stick, and Stick it to the World -- Notes on the last act of the Empire . . .
two centuries is a long time to morph the collective Americano, el Yanqui to twist up the ethical (unethical) DNA of most of the chaps and gals in LaLa Land
Look out, the Mossad and Dirty Isra-Hell are on the rise! (see below, at the end).
Shit, less than thirty years after the Murderous Maiming Monroe Doctrine, Frederick Douglas said: (1852, re: “WHAT, TO THE SLAVE, IS THE FOURTH OF JULY”)
Fellow-citizens! I will not enlarge further on your national inconsistencies. The existence of slavery in this country brands your republicanism as a sham, your humanity as a base pretence, and your Christianity as a lie. It destroys your moral power abroad; it corrupts your politicians at home. It saps the foundation of religion; it makes your name a hissing, and a by word to a mocking earth. It is the antagonistic force in your government, the only thing that seriously disturbs and endangers your Union. It fetters your progress; it is the enemy of improvement, the deadly foe of education; it fosters pride; it breeds insolence; it promotes vice; it shelters crime; it is a curse to the earth that supports it; and yet, you cling to it, as if it were the sheet anchor of all your hopes. Oh! be warned! be warned! a horrible reptile is coiled up in your nation’s bosom; the venomous creature is nursing at the tender breast of your youthful republic; for the love of God, tear away, and fling from you the hideous monster, and let the weight of twenty millions crush and destroy it forever!
But it is answered in reply to all this, that precisely what I have now denounced is, in fact, guaranteed and sanctioned by the Constitution of the United States; that the right to hold and to hunt slaves is a part of that Constitution framed by the illustrious Fathers of this Republic. Then, I dare to affirm, notwithstanding all I have said before, your fathers stooped, basely stooped
To palter with us in a double sense: And keep the word of promise to the ear, But break it to the heart.
And instead of being the honest men I have before declared them to be, they were the veriest imposters that ever practiced on mankind. This is the inevitable conclusion, and from it there is no escape. But I differ from those who charge this baseness on the framers of the Constitution of the United States. It is a slander upon their memory, at least, so I believe. There is not time now to argue the constitutional question at length – nor have I the ability to discuss it as it ought to be discussed. The subject has been handled with masterly power by Lysander Spooner, Esq., by William Goodell, by Samuel E. Sewall, Esq., and last, though not least, by Gerritt Smith, Esq. These gentlemen have, as I think, fully and clearly vindicated the Constitution from any design to support slavery for an hour.
And to think, now 171 years later, and we have devolved, man, making the world our slaves, setting the course of plagues upon the people with world wars, with sanctions, with invasions, with deadly forever chemicals and forever weapons, and the country is siphoned by the capitalists, the super rich, the absolute masters of their own race, their own thuggery valorized on TV, in movies, and in the news the own, all of the Press and Media, owned by the criminals, those foxes guarding the chicken coop.
Blinken, Biden, Garland, Nuland, Kagan, the lot of them, from dirty Yellen to Pete the Poopster, all of them, devolved self-interested puny brains with the entire fleets and squadrons at their beckon call. Until we are this, Masons and Maulers, the ugliest and most deadly building in the world, that the entire human history has seen:
Douglas, pure genius, pure human, and the lot of them after him are the schoolyard bullies, the perverts, the ugliest humans on earth, U$A . . . err, UK . . . err, Israel!
Subhumanity, alternative forms of existence, dirty dirty: Multi-Million dollar smiles!
Until we are here, supporting the supreme racist of our time — (BLack Misleadership CLass, the Cocaine Comic, and the War Mongering Blinken).
Swing that stick, brother, and 200 years going, the small pecker brains are going after Cuba, after Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil, all of the Latin American landscape, back to the dirty United Fruit Company, but this time with coltan, lithium, petroleum, gigabytes, FuckBook, and the BlackRock and BlackStone and BlackHearts looking for more marks, more ag, more agua pura, more crops, more mining opps, more more more useless eaters in their sights for the takings.
“United Fruit Co.” Pablo Neruda (1950)
When the trumpet sounded
everything was prepared on earth,
and Jehovah gave the world
to Coca-Cola Inc., Anaconda,
Ford Motors, and other corporations.
The United Fruit Company
reserved for itself the most juicy
piece, the central coast of my world,
the delicate waist of America.
It rebaptized these countries
Banana Republics,
and over the sleeping dead,
over the unquiet heroes
who won greatness,
liberty, and banners,
it established an opera buffa:
it abolished free will,
gave out imperial crowns, encouraged envy, attracted
the dictatorship of flies:
Trujillo flies, Tachos flies
Carias flies, Martinez flies,
Ubico flies, flies sticky with
submissive blood and marmalade,
drunken flies that buzz over
the tombs of the people,
circus flies, wise flies
expert at tyranny.
With the bloodthirsty flies
came the Fruit Company,
amassed coffee and fruit
in ships which put to sea like
overloaded trays with the treasures
from our sunken lands.
Meanwhile the Indians fall
into the sugared depths of the
harbors and are buried in the
morning mists;
a corpse rolls, a thing without
name, a discarded number,
a bunch of rotten fruit
thrown on the garbage heap.
From “Canto General” (citation): Now, just replace the fruit flies with the updated versions of tyrants — Big Pharma, Big Mining, Big Chemical, Big Ag, Big AR-AI-VR, Big Brothers, one and all!
When in December 1823, President James Monroe announced in a message to Congress the doctrine that would define the essence of U.S. foreign policy towards the Latin American and Caribbean region, summarized in the idea “America for the Americans”, it justified the rejection of any new European attempt to interfere or extend its system of government to the American continent, as a danger to the “peace and security” of the northern nation, concealing its expansionist and hegemonic interests towards the south of the continent, particularly at that time towards Cuba and Mexico.
In this way, the United States inaugurated a tradition that would characterize its behavior in the international arena to this day, in which the words of its political leaders not only conceal their true intentions, but in many cases the intentions have been the total reverse of the words. It was not for nothing that the Liberator, Simón Bolívar, left posterity a phrase that is still valid today, when he pointed out in 1829 that the United States seemed destined by Providence to plague America with misery in the name of freedom.[i] The Monroe Doctrine served as the basis of the United States’ political and economic policy. And so Latin America is spot on understanding HOW this death virus — America, fake democracy, enslavement, the Anglo American sickness of empire, those first ghost of the Smith Colony/Klan/Gang, all those pilgrims progress, all the Puritans, murder in their hearts, crosses around necks, their dirty bibles stashed away for bludgeoning — will come into the night, and snatch mother, father, aunt, uncle, brother, sister, daughter and son. They are the plague, man.
Human Poems — ‘Writing Silence: César Vallejo’s Poetry of Exile’
A man passes by with a loaf on his shoulder
Am I going to write, after that, about my double?
Another sits down, scratches himself, pulls a louse from his armpit, kills it
With what worth can one speak of psychoanalysis?
Another has entered my chest with a stick in his hand
To speak, then, about Socrates to the doctor?
A cripple passes by, giving his arm to a child
I’m going to read André Breton after that?
Another is trembling of cold, coughing, spitting blood
Is it ever fit to allude to the profound I?
Another looks through the sludge for bones, rinds
How can one write, after that, about the infinite?
A bricklayer falls from a roof, dies, and no longer eats
To innovate, then, in trope, in metaphor?
A merchant robs his client of a gram of weight
To speak, after that, of a fourth dimension?
A banker falsifies his balance
With what face can one cry in the theatre?
An outcast sleeps with his foot to his back
To speak, after that, to no one of Picasso?
Someone is sobbing at a funeral
How, then, to enter the Academy?
Someone is cleaning a rifle in his kitchen
With what worth to speak of the beyond?
Someone passes by counting on his fingers
How can one speak of the non-self without screaming?
Viva César:
César Vallejo | From “Art and Revolution”
Confusion is a phenomenon with a permanent, organic character in bourgeois society. Confusion grows ever thicker when it is addressed as already confusing problems by the very historical terms of its utterance. The latter occurs with the brand new and, at once, very old problem of the intellectual’s obligations with regard to revolution. As posed by historical materialists, this problem is already a tangle. When formulated or simply outlined by bourgeois intellectuals, it acquires the aspect of insoluble chaos.
***
“The philosophers,” Marx says, “have only interpreted the world in various ways. The point is to change it.” The same can be said of intellectuals and artists in general. The finalistic function of thought has allowed them only to interpret the interests and other valid forms of life—leaving them intact—when it should have enabled their transformation. The finalism of thought has been conservative, rather than revolutionary. The point of departure in this transformational or revolutionary doctrine of thought stems from the fundamental difference between the idealist dialectic of Hegel and the materialist dialect of Marx. “In its mystified form,” says Marx, “dialectic became the fashion in Germany, because it seemed to transfigure and to glorify the state of existing things. In its rational form it is a scandal and abomination to bourgeoisdom and its doctrinaire professors because it includes in its comprehension and affirmative recognition of the existing state of things, at the same time also, the recognition of the negation of that state, of its inevitable breaking up; because it regards every historically developed social form as in fluid movement and therefore takes into account its transient nature not less than its momentary existence; because it lets nothing impose upon it, and is in its essence critical and revolutionary.”
Ahh, Monroe Doctrine updated for the rest of the world, Africa:
“What is the path that we are going to chart towards socialism?” This is the question that animated the first day of the ‘Dilemmas of Humanity: Pan African Dialogues to Build Socialism’ conference, which is being held in South Africa between July 17 to 20.
The conference has been divided into commissions, each with a mandate to deliberate upon a particular theme and draft a concrete plan of action which will be adopted in the form of a resolution on the final day. The commissions on July 17 addressed the themes of food sovereignty and agroecology, gender struggles against patriarchy, and urban struggles for housing.
Bringing together nearly 40 progressive peoples’ movements and organizations from across Africa, the four-day event is underpinned by a consensus — “that capitalism has no solutions for the problems that confront humanity.”
Not only is capitalism fundamentally incapable of addressing the crises that confronts the majority of the world today, it has become increasingly violent as its failures have become clear. In this context, the conference is being held in South Africa provides evidence of this.
Addressing the opening ceremony on July 17, the president and founding member of South Africa’s socialist militant shack dwellers’ movement, Abahlali baseMjondolo, S’bu Zikode, said,
“We did not know that when we insist on our humanity, we would find ourselves at war. A war that is fought with live bullets, rubber bullets, tear gas, courts, prisons, lies, and slander.”
“We know that we were made poor, so others can be made rich. We know we are kept poor, so others can remain rich…There can be no justice until capitalism is removed from the Earth, and land, wealth, and power are fairly shared. For us, socialism, or what we have called living communism, must be built from below..”
May there be a plague upon all of those houses of whore capitalists, the USA, the citizens who fetishize their incompetence, their lust and greed, who wanna be a millionaire, who see only how they feel, and the stupidiest one with mighty big stick wins this game, or at least a winnder for the day, or nanosecond, as the rest of the world advances, even in their poverty and sickness, the rest of the world, at $4 a day for each adult, even they have more pride, more openness, more inquiry, more internal satisfaction than those in the Golden Billion . . . .

The population of Europe is projected at almost 748 million or 747,747,396 people. Europe is the third-most continent continent behind Asia and Africa. Thirty-nine percent of the European population lives in Eastern Europe, 26 percent in Western Europe, 20 percent in Southern Europe, and 14 percent in Northern Europe. Europe accounts for 9.59 percent of the world population. Its global share has been declining since 21.66% of 1950 and is projected to decline at 5.79% by 2100. North America is home to around 597 million (7.58%). Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Call it, drum roll, the five core countries of the Anglosphere: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. These countries are klans, with cultural and diplomatic links with one another and are aligned under military and security programs.
Now, that Golden Billion includes those in the Anglosphere and outside in some cases (the elite in societies, far and wide, from Sheikdoms, to dictatorships, and their inside circles and familia grandes, all those thugs, think of them, in the upper upper classes, or big time middle upper classes, and you have a billion people on earth — less than one-seventh of the global population — holding guns and usury and predation and hellfire and chemical fogs, all the sanctions and loans and impossible austerity programs, the payoffs, all the outright theft, the coups, the soft and hard takeovers, all of that mess, and more, GUN to our heads, that is, for around 6.5 billion of us, who have been put into their vice, their grip, their dirty deals eating our unborn alive as soon as they become a zigot. Imagine, that, no, the golden billion, from oligarchs to punks like Heinz 57, from those two-income MD families, all those few and far between investing in guns, pharma, junk bonds, real estate, finance, all of that, those fucking people who make money on retirement funds, on mortgages, on evictions, on repossessions, on prison and poison, they are part of the Golden Billion, and those armies with big sticks, all of that, it is for their continuance.
Finally, here, an email from a reader of mine over at Dissident Voice. I’ll leave his name included since he wrote a piece in Jan. over at Dissident Voice. I don’t think he’ll mind. And, drum roll, again, all about those Operation Paperclip Nazis and those others who have enhanced the dirties tools of capitalism, their bullets and bombs and arrays and drones and MOABs and buster bunkers, and neutron bombs, virus loads in aerosol form, etc. DU!
July 15th
Thank you so much for all your impossibly long-winded rants! It's impossible to describe anything without also describing everything -- I know this feeling well.
Attached are a couple of articles I wrote about putting radioactive dangers into perspective. I traveled all the way from NYC to Church Rock, NM and Monument Valley, AZ with a Rad-Alert detector, and then found that the highest readings came from our Catholic Worker soup kitchen here in Manhattan. We unknowingly were using bright orange dinner plates made with depleted uranium.
When I turned 40 in 1991 I had spent about 10 percent of my life behind bars, opposed to everything I could think of, and obsessed with learning the truth about the US Army's Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey.

A New Year's Eve to Remember
*********************
As you well know a huge number of Vietnam veterans (those who did not die in the war or come home and commit suicide) were arrested and incarcerated, and basically only had each other to do the psychological processing of what happened to them. So also attached is the huge transcript of the 1971 hearings in Detroit at which the truth-telling process began. And I recommend Howard J. Olsen's book "Wounded Warriors, Chosen Lives," and his dedication to helping vets recover their humanity.
When it comes to uncovering the difficult truth about depleted uranium weapons, I recommend "The Secret of the Three Bullets, A New Generation of Micro-Nuclear Weapons is on the Battle Field," by Maurizio Torrealta & Emilio Del Giudice. An obscure book by two Italian researchers, full of the most disturbing speculations and questions. Imagine if everything you have ever read about depleted uranium is a twisted tissue of lies and deceptions. Imagine that the original research, that began half a century ago (at Picatinny among other places), is still continuing, so that the structure of these quasi-nuclear weapons and the strategy of how they work, has evolved, and each evolution of the weaponry gets covered by a new layer of public lies. Where do you draw the line between a "mini-nuke," a five-kiloton weapon, and an advanced DU penetrator that causes a quasi-nuclear explosion and generates a host of dangerous isotopes?
Unfortunately I'm not always able to follow the technical descriptions that Torrealta and Del Giudice offer, and have no idea why they wrote this book as a fictionalized story. The 2001 New York Times articles by Marlise Simons about the possibility of DU weapons containing other isotopes were clipped out and mailed to me at Northern Neck Regional in Virginia, and the prison held the clippings, giving me a yellow receipt for "unauthorized mail" each time. (In contrast, Justice Ginsburg's Supreme Court dissent in which she said Al Gore actually won the election of 2000, was allowed in to the jail and made for very interesting cellblock reading.)
I hope you will get a copy of this extraordinary work (available on Kindle or paper) and see the terrifying connections they draw through war after war during our lifetimes. Lots of people believe the military-industrial complex is completely out of control, but these researchers were not content with such an empty generality and tried to explore it all detail by detail, and weapon by weapon. Wherever radioactive materials were found at bomb sites throughout the Middle East, and wherever victims appeared in hospitals with impossible-to-explain wounds, Torrealta and Del Diudice went to investigate. Outside Basrah they found seismic evidence that an actual 5-kiloton nuclear weapon was used in February of 1991, for which the DU story was offered as a coverup. It's beyond belief. Dr. Tom Fasy who studied the consequences of DU use in Iraq examined our DU dinner plates, and he agrees that 32,000 counts per minute is too high to be solely U-238.
There is little hope that as a society we will ever come out of the multi-pronged trance that our insanely destructive way of life has condemned us. My parents were deployed to Japan in the Medical Corps, and served in the postwar occupation, getting married in Sapporo in June of 1946. They never talked about it much in front of the children, and of course knew nothing about the first atomic bombs, since that was a secret project.
That's all for now, I will not bore you with endless details. There is more truth to be discovered, or as Thoreau put it, more day to dawn, if only we can take a deep breath and be ready for it.
Your #1 fan,
Felton Davis
There will always be more and more lethal and dirty weapons Capitalism runs through their R & R and R & D programs, colleges and universities, those dual use scientific (sic) programs. Until we get this:
Apologists claim that U-238 is only mildly radioactive, and therefore not much more dangerous than ammunition made with lead. Researchers who studied veterans from the 1991 war in Iraq disagreed:
"In a recent interview, [Dr. Asaf Durakovic] said his analysis over the last three years of body fluids of more than forty American, British and Canadian gulf war veterans who have turned to him keeps turning up evidence of depleted uranium and uranium-236, a more radioactive uranium isotope. Dr. Durakovic said that, unlike many other institutions involved in testing for uranium, he uses mass spectrometry tests that measure the relative abundance of each isotope in the body.
"He said he found depleted uranium, including uranium-236, in 62 percent of the sick gulf war veterans he examined. He believes that particles lodged in their bodies [and] may be a cause of their illnesses. "Radiation experts in France and Britain say they are now rereading his work because he was the first to report that he found uranium-236 in the urine as well as in the bone tissue of gulf war veterans.
They suspect that its presence indicates that other contaminants may be present. “This cannot be conventional depleted uranium,” said Monique Sené, a physicist who is prominent in France’s large atomic research establishment, when asked about Dr. Durakovic’s findings. The ratios he found do not exist in nature. This contains nuclear waste.”
("Doctor’s Gulf War Studies Link Cancer to Depleted Uranium," by Marlise Simons, New York Times, January 29, 2001, See also "Traces of Uranium Isotope Found in US Munitions in Kosovo," Marlise Simons, New York Times, January 17, 2001.)
That Monroe Doctrine is Hebraized : In addition to their use of invasive surveillance technologies and monitoring of Palestinian cyberspace, Israeli authorities are also developing autonomous weapons systems. These trends, globally reflect a slide towards digital dehumanization, and in the case of Israel this means of Palestinians. Israeli authorities have developed and used drones, loitering munitions, and remote-controlled gun turrets, like the Smart Shooter recently installed in Hebron and Bethlehem. A senior Israeli defense official said recently that authorities are looking at “the ability of platforms to strike in swarms, or of combat systems to operate independently, of data fusion and of assistance in fast decision-making, on a scale greater than we have ever seen.”
So, DU one day, but then total control, total slow death by a thousand Israeli cuts:
The appeal of the Palestine laboratory is endless. I’ve spent the last years researching this concept and its execution in Palestine and across the globe. My new book, The Palestine Laboratory: How Israel Exports the Technology of Occupation Around the World, uncovers how Israel has used the occupied Palestinians as the ultimate guineapigs when developing tools of repression, from drones to spyware and facial recognition to biometric data, while maintaining an “enemy” population, the Palestinians, under control for more than half a century.
Israel has sold defence equipment to at least 130 countries and is now the 10th biggest arms exporter in the world. The US is still the dominant player in this space, accounting for 40 percent of the global weapons industry.
Washington used its failed wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as a testing ground for new weapons. During the current Russian invasion of Ukraine, the war has been a vital “beta test” for new weapons and sophisticated forms of surveillance and killing.
But Israel has a ready-made population of occupied Palestinians over which it has complete control. For more than five decades, Israeli intelligence authorities have built an NSA-level system of surveillance across the entire occupied Palestinian territories. Nowhere is completely immune from listening, watching or following.
In the last decade, the most infamous example of Israeli repression tech is Pegasus, the phone hacking tool developed by the company NSO Group. Used and abused by dozens of nations around the world, Mexico is its most prolific adherent. I spoke to dissidents, lawyers and human rights activists in Togo, Mexico, India and beyond whose lives were upended by this invasive, mostly silent tool. (Israel's arms and spyware: Used on Palestinians, sold to the world)
Israel, now the third dirtiest country in the world, and their Monroe Doctrine is more nefarious, soon to be a chip put inside your pie and pita hole soon!
